'Internalism' (Al-Gowanya in Arabic)

allodoxaphobia Fear of opinions. This may relate
to hearing or learning opinions of others or fearing
one’s own opinions. This fear may also be related to
a fear of criticism.

To overcome writer’s block, try to keep the
internal critic hidden until the revision stage.

Mark Granovetter, first in his work The Strength
of Weak Ties and later on in his book Getting a Job, revolutionized
the organizational literature by introducing the
concept of the “strength of weak ties” (Granovetter 1973,
1995). He argues that belonging to an open network and
having access to weak ties (or acquaintances) can provide
individuals with new valuable information that can help
them get better jobs. Even though one might not have a
strong relationship with those individuals, they are able to
share new knowledge and important information that
otherwise would not be available in a closed network with
mostly strong ties. Those who belong to closed networks
with mostly strong ties are considered to be at a disadvantage
given the limited amount of information shared by
the members of such networks.

Studies on racial segregation
(Massey and Denton 1993) have suggested that
members of closed networks or cliques have less chance to
learn about new important information and that the
information that flows in those networks tends to be
redundant and inefficient.
According to Granovetter (1982), strong ties and
closed networks could be advantageous only for those
who face risk and high levels of uncertainty.

At this event at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) Amartya Sen was in conversation about his latest publication, The Country of First Boys, which is a new collection of cultural essays in which he examines social justice and welfare, by addressing some of the fundamental issues of our time like deprivation, disparity, hunger, illiteracy, alienation, globalisation, media, freedom of speech, injustice, inequality, exclusion, and exploitation.

spirit releasement Contemporary term for an EXORCISM
of an earthbound spirit or a discarnate being attached to
a place or person. Spirit releasement refers primarily to
exorcisms that have no religious elements and are not
performed by clergy.
Forms of releasement are practiced the world over.
Spirits have long been blamed for causing virtually all
ills and bad luck, and they are routinely exorcised. In the
early days of SPIRITUALISM, people suffering from unusual
mental symptoms often attended seances in hopes of having
“low” spirits exorcised.
Spirit releasement has become increasingly popular
together with the growth in past-life therapy. Some pastlife
therapists say their clients have attachments relating
to past lives. Edith Fiore, a past-life therapist, began
recognizing and releasing, or “depossessing,” attached
entities in the 1970s. Dr. William Baldwin began studying
releasement in 1980 and developed techniques, now
used by many practitioners, published in his book Spirit
Releasement Therapy: A Technique Manual

''Structure is how we overcome depletion. In almost magical way, structure slows down how fast our discipline and self-control disappear. When we have structure, we don't have to many choices; we just follow the plan. And the net result is we're not being depleted as quickly."
Triggers by Marshall Goldsmith

And instead of being embarrassed to admit that, we should be shouting it from the rooftops, printing it on our fridge magnets and using it as a rallying cry for social action. Money makes us happy! Suggesting otherwise doesn’t make us spiritually enlightened or morally superior. It makes us clueless.
