"At any rate it is possible to develop mental attitudes to a conscious level where nothing can depreciate a zestful reaction to the experience of living.”
Norman Vincent Peale, You Can If You Think You Can.

“Getting what you want from life needs directed motivation. If you want to get somewhere you have to know where you want to go and how to get there. Also, it is vital to know what you want to do and what you can do best. This is part of being focused and organized. And to all this must be added deep desire, a driving force, and the willingness to work, to work, to work – and never, never, never to give up; never to quit. Always remember, ‘The quitter never wins and the winner never quits.’ That sort of thing is vital to the person who never thinks of failing and who doesn’t intend to.”
Norman Vincent Peale, You Can If You Think You Can.

“If your self-image is one of inferiority, inadequacy, and failure it can be changed, and when it is changed then you will change. The failure concept will give way to the “can do” image of yourself. And as William James, famous American thinker, reminded us, the greatest of all discoveries is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind.” Norman Vincent Peale – You Can If You Think You Can.

“Plato once said: ‘Take charge of your thoughts. You can do what you will with them.’”
“Years ago and old friend, Robert Rowbottom, gave me one of the most powerful truths I have ever received. It was this: Never build a case against yourself. It is only natural sometimes to feel overwhelmed by problems and difficulties. In fact, they may be so tough that we contemplate giving up. At that moment always remember the encouraging fact that all the resources you need are in your mind; that you have within you the capacity to handle anything that comes at you. Again, remember: Never build a case against yourself. Realize that you are GREATER than you’ve ever considered yourself to be. And don’t wait to be faced with a crisis before you realize and use the power that is in you. Use your mental resources everyday in every situation. Then you will be ready to use them in a crisis.” Norman Vincent Peale – You Can If You Think You Can.

“Arthur Gordon, one of America’s outstanding writers, outlines an extremely valid process through which he found deepened insight into the vast resources inherent in the mind:
Nothing in life is more exciting and rewarding than the sudden flash of insight that leaves you a changed person – not only changed, but changed for the better. Such moments are rare, certainly, but they come to all of us.” Norman Vincent Peale – You Can If You Think You Can.
My Personal News Letter - كمبيوترجي - 06-28-2007 Issue # 6:
“The ‘if only’ attitude leads to a dull and uninspired reaction to things. But ‘next time’ signifies a positive and courageous attack on problems. Drop the ‘if only’ concept, pick up the ‘next time’ idea, and you will have the ability to do your best and move ahead unhampered by whatever happens.
Live a day at a time and do a job at a time. Then go on to the next time. That makes sense. But, unhappily, lots of people don’t do that. Instead, they live in the past, present, and the future all at the same time. And that doesn’t make sense. What an error to waste mental energy brooding over past events or worrying about problems that might develop at some future time and then again might not. The successful person learns to live in the present only, but always headed towards next time.” Norman Vincent Peale – You Can If You Think You Can.
My Personal News Letter - كمبيوترجي - 07-01-2007 Issue # 7:
“Of course, it must be stressed that changing a thought pattern is no easy process. Sick thoughts, negative thoughts, thoughts of resentment, of hate, of inferiority, wear a ‘groove’ into the consciousness that isn’t quickly overcome. One might wish for some magic pill to heal these maladies, but perhaps that would not be best even if it were possible. It could be that health of personality is better served by struggle and discipline and the curative practice of thought reversal.”
Norman Vincent Peale – You Can If You Think You Can.
My Personal News Letter - كمبيوترجي - 07-02-2007 Issue # 8:
“There is a vast and wistful interest in this matter of physical well-being, energy, and healthiness. And why shouldn’t there be? For when you lose your health, when energy and vitality go down, then the whole life process suffers. Enthusiasm and dynamic essence go out of living. Perhaps it is for this reason that everywhere in the world healing services are crowded, not only with the sick who want to get well, but also with the healthy who want to stay well.”
