جثة محنّطة طبيعياً اكتشفوها في الدنمارك ، نقص الأكسجين وانخفاض درجة الحرارة وانخفاض الحموضة في المستنقع كوّنت بيئة مثالية لتحنيط الجثة في مستنقع .
حتى ملابسه محفوظة لم تتاثر ، والحبل الذي شنقوه به موجود أيضاً ، معالم وجهه دقيقة لدرجة مرعبة . استخدموا طريقة القياس بالكربون المشع لمعرفة عمر الجثة التقريبي – 3 آلاف سنة .
The Tollund Man is the naturally mummified corpse of a man discovered in a Danish peat bog. The lack of O2, low temperature, and low pH in the bog have inhibibited decay.
