ummm i believe this is not true my dear friend . to write foreign names in japanese is merely writing the syllables that represent them in Katakana * a system used to write english words that entered japanese and foreign names in general *
so if your name is Sara it stays the same or they might pronounce it Sala
if your name is Mike they pronounce it Maiku
and so forth
