The Union between the Rich Gulf Countries & Jordan
Kings protecting kings:
The main reason for this unexpected union between Jordan and the gulf countries is to eliminate the potential of any demonstration or uprising in Jordan as well as the Gulf Countries. We all know by now that the world economy is getting worse everyday, and is going to even worsen by 2012.
The USA has too much on its plate and it is spreading itself too thin in supporting and policing almost one quarter of the world, especially the Middle East countries.
Going back to the main subject; if the uprising in Jordan succeeds, this means that the USA and Britain were unable to protect the king of Jordan and his regime to sustain in power, and that will then inspire the people in the Gulf countries and in Saudi Arabia to up-rise against their kings. Therefore, the king of Saudi Arabia, and the kings of the Gulf Countries will end-up sitting on the edges of their thrones, and the USA and Britain will have a huge mess on their hands. We must remember that the USA and Britain have to protect their oil resources in Saudi Arabia and in the Gulf area, simply, by keeping the kings in power and safe. We must also take into account that keeping the king of Jordan in power means keeping the state of Israel safe and well. In keeping Israel safe, the USA and Britain had to pressure the kings of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Countries to allow and to except the Jordanians in their countries by letting Jordan becoming part of their Union. Now remember, this is all done to secure the state of Israel. On the other hand, If Jordan was located somewhere in South Africa, and it was not bordering the state of Israel (Jordan has the longest border with Israel), then I will doubt that the USA and Britain will worry about Jordan and its king. In this situation, Jordan will be no different than Tunisia, Sudan, Somalia or even Bangladesh. It is all about Israel's safety and security in the Middle East.
Another thing we must take into consideration, that is the Saudis and the Gulf Countries will benefit from the Jordanians' army and its close allies Pakistan, incase of any potential uprising in the region, since all rich oil countries do not have a real army that is trained and prepared to fight in any kind of wars. We all remember the 1979 siege that took place in Mecca in Saudi Arabia, and how the Jordanian army assisted the Saudis in crushing it. Digging back in the history of that region, we will find that on many occasions the Jordanian government had offered to assist and to help the Saudi's kings in fighting their wars against Yemen. Do not be so surprised if you ever see the Jordanian army being involved in the hostilities against Yemen, and Bahrain.
Do you remember this old saying: "You itch my back, and I will itch yours".
By offering the Jordanians' military help to the king of Saudi Arabia and the kings of the Gulf countries, Jordan will get an easy access to these countries without visa. What does that really means? This means that all Jordanian citizens can go to work in those oil rich Arab countries without visa, at least for now, because things changes with times, and what may seems to be good today might not be as good in the future. Offering jobs to the Jordanians in the gulf of Arabia will freeze any uprising in Jordan, and the people of Jordan will go back to their routine life with money floating around. Of course, not every man is going to have a good decent job in these oil rich Arab countries, some maybe work as engineers, but many of them will be sweeping floors, washing dishes, bending over and working as porters in some stores.
What is the catch from of all of that? Well, the catch is huge. First, there will be no more uprising in these royal countries. Second, the kings will remain in power for many more years to come. Third, the oil money will continue to flow into the royal families' bank accounts as always does. Fourth, the superpower countries will keep on controlling the oil reserves in the Arab world. Fifth and most important thing, Israel will remain in power in Palestine safe and well. Sixth, the Arabs will remain in the very bottom without any forms of democracy and human rights. Seventh, dictatorial rules will continue on ruling the Arabs with an iron fist as it always has been. Basically, nothing will change, and the list goes on and on.
One may ask, what about Egypt, Syria and Lebanon?
Egypt: Well, first of all, the Egyptians are totally different than the rest of the Arabs. Egypt has a population somewhere between 80 to 85 million, which is a little over 20% of the Arab population, and that means for every 10 Arabs you see walking on the street, two to three of them will be Egyptians. A number like that will conquer the gulf and Saudi Arabia if you open the doors. Beside, the Egyptians will ask for more in returns from the West. Egypt is a country that no one should mess with, and do not forget that Egypt is considered to be a superpower country in the Middle East. No Arab country can compete with Egypt.
Syria and Iraq: No Arab king or president ever liked the regime in Syria or in Iraq, and in fact no Arab leader ever liked any regime in Syria or Iraq since the Al Ayoubi Dynasty (Salah Al-Dean). Syria and Iraq could easily become the second and third force behind Egypt, if and only if they get the chance to stand on their own feet economically. It will be easy for Iraq to bounce back in few years once the West stops interfering in their business, but it will be a long struggle and a hard road for Syria to bounce back without some foreign aids, unless, the kingdoms of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Area collapses, and the doors opens-up widely for an Arab-union.
Lebanon: The Lebanese are very much like the Palestinians, they are very liberal and democratic. The Lebanese know for sure that Israel is a cancer that is going to spread much deeper in the future if the Arabs allow it to. Another thing, we must remember that Lebanon depends and survives on foreign currency. Therefore, there is a huge competition between Lebanon and Israel in attracting tourist to their sides. The policy of Israel toward Lebanon was and will always be keeping Lebanon unstable and isolated, so no tourist will think about spending any time or money in Lebanon. Israel will continue to dominate the tourist seasons to their side. Looking back in time we can see the real motivation behind Israel constant invasions to Lebanon starting in 1978, 1982 and 2006. You build it and we will destroy it. Beside, the water has been a large factor for Israel to keep on digging north.
The Arabian countries of North Africa, such as Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Sudan and Egypt: Those countries are divided by the West for one purpose and one purpose only, and that is to keep them helpless and in needs of the West. The population of the North African Arab countries is a little over twice the population of the Arab countries in Middle East or cross the Red Sea. For every single Arab on the streets of Syria or Jordan there will be two to three Arabs walking on the streets of Morocco and Egypt. The bottom line is that you can not exclude the Arabs of North Africa from the Arabs equation at any circumstances. That is why Salah Al-Dean did not liberate Palestine until he organized all Arabs of North Africa in his army.
