أشكر الزميل المحترم طارق القداح على طرحه هذا الموضوع الجميل ، و أشكر أيضا الزملاء الذين أتاحوا لنا مشاركتهم تجربتهم في التذوق الفني ، سوف أتجاوز قليلا لأني وجدت أنه من المستحيل أن أختزل عشقا متصلآ و مخلصا للسينما الغربية في 10 أو 20 فلم ، لهذا وضعت قائمة مختزلة من 30 فلم ، حاولت وضعها طبقا لترتيب الأهمية و المتعة من وجهة نظري ، رغم ذلك قمت بتعديلها بلا انقطاع حتى الآن ،ولو تأخرت قليلآ لأعدت الترتيب مرة أخرى ، فمن الصعب أن يرتب الإنسان مشاعره و إحساسه بجمال الفن السابع التي تثيرها تلك العمال السينمائية في النفس ، سعيت أيضا أن يكون تعريفي للفلم موجزا شاملآ المخرج و أبطاله الرئيسيين ، ربما سيلاحظ بعض الزملآء أن تلك القائمة تشمل العديد من أفلام عسكرية تاريخية ، كذلك العديد من الأفلام المأخوذة عن مسرحيات أو روايات أدبية ، و للجميع تقديري.
1- Gandhi - directed by Richard Attenborough, and the title character was played by Ben Kingsley.
2- Zorba the Greek- directed by Michael Cacoyannis and the title character was played by Anthony Quinn. The supporting cast includes Alan Bates, Lila Kedrova, Irene Papas.
3- Lawrence of Arabia -. directed by David Lean ,The film stars Peter O'Toole,Omar Sharif, Anthony Quinn.
4- Titanic : Directed by James Cameron. With Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, Billy Zane.
