No my friend, this has nothing to do with the issue of the lawsuit against the Pope.

But it has everything to do with the literal misinterpretations of various sections of the Bible, whether it may be the Old Testament or the New Testament.

The article is clear about the issue. It states that some misinterpretations have led various denominations to unrealistic and misleading attitudes towards certain political and humanitarian issues

The title of the article is very misleading and does not reflect in anyway the contents of the said article.

We do not believe that all the pre-historic events mentioned in the Bible are actually true

We know that some myths have been utilized to forward a simple religious belief

In the case of the Apocalypse of John, it is obvious that certain literal and unrealistic interpretations are the direct cause for the US right wing support of Israel and the denial of the human rights of the Palestinian People

This and other similar issues are the real cause behind the article

By the way, it is worth mentioning that the views reflected in the article are the official teachings of the Holy Bible interpreters and teachers for decades now.

This is not new at all.
