الخارجية الأميركية تعزّي بمحمد الماغوط : "كان صوتاً للحرية والعدالة في العالم العربي"



في بادرة غير مألوفة، أصدرت الخارجية الأميركية بياناً تعرب فيه عن "الحزن لوفاة الشاعر والكاتب المسرحي والمثقف السوري الكبير محمد الماغوط". وجاء في البيان أن "محمد الماغوط كان خلاقاً، ومثقّفاً لا يساوم وصوتاً مستقلاً للحرية والعدالة في العالم العربي." وأضاف البيان أن "عمله وحياته كانتا شهادة عن قوة الفرد وشهادة للروح الخلاقة. ونحن نقدّم تعازينا المخلصة لعائلته ولمعجبيه الكثيرين".



وهذه أول مرة تصدر فيها الحكومة الأميركية مثل هذه التعزية بشاعر عربي.
