نفت مصادر دبلوماسية مطلعة ما تردد، خلال الساعات الماضية، عن مرض الرئيس مبارك، وقالت: «الرئيس يقضي حالياً إجازته السنوية في استراحة برج العرب».

وقالت المصادر لـ «المصري اليوم»: إن مبارك بدأ هذا العادة ـ إجازة أغسطس ـ قبل ٥ سنوات، كما أن الكثيرين من قادة وزعماء الدول العربية والغربية يأخذون إجازة في التوقيت نفسه، وبالتالي فإن مؤسسة الرئاسة تكون بلا ارتباطات خارجية كثيرة.

ولتأكيد عدم صحة ما تردد عن مرض الرئيس، قالت المصادر: إن مبارك سيقوم خلال ساعات قليلة بجولة تفقدية بالقرية الذكية، ويجتمع مع الدكتور أحمد نظيف رئيس الوزراء، وعدد من أعضاء حكومته، وبعض المحافظين، ولم تبدأ الزيارة حتي مثول الجريدة للطبع.

كانت شائعة مرض الرئيس مبارك قد شغلت الرأي العام، حيث تناولها الشباب علي الشات عبر الإنترنت، وعلي رسائل S.M.S علي المحمول، كما وصلت إلي السفارات الأجنبية والبورصة، وهو الأمر الذي رصده جهاز الأمن القومي.
