قال ابن تيمية :
(( السَّمَاوَاتُ مُسْتَدِيرَةٌ عِنْدَ عُلَمَاءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَقَدْ حَكَى إجْمَاعَ
الْمُسْلِمِينَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ مِنْ الْعُلَمَاءِ أَئِمَّةِ الإِسْلامِ .
مِثْلُ : أَبِي الْحُسَيْنِ أَحْمَد بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الْمُنَادِي أَحَدِ الأَعْيَانِ الْكِبَارِ مِنْ الطَّبَقَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الإِمَامِ أَحْمَد وَلَهُ نَحْوُ أَرْبَعِمِائَةِ مُصَنَّفٍ .
وَحَكَى الإِجْمَاعَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ الإِمَامُ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ بْنُ حَزْمٍ وَأَبُو الْفَرَجِ بْنُ الْجَوْزِيِّ وَرَوَى الْعُلَمَاءُ ذَلِكَ بِالأَسَانِيدِ الْمَعْرُوفَةِ عَنْ الصَّحَابَةِ وَالتَّابِعِينَ وَذَكَرُوا ذَلِكَ مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ وَسُنَّةِ رَسُولِهِ وَبَسَطُوا الْقَوْلَ فِي ذَلِكَ بِالدَّلائِلِ السَّمْعِيَّةِ .
وَإِنْ كَانَ قَدْ أُقِيمَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ أَيْضًا دَلائِلُ حِسَابِيَّةٌ .
و َلا أَعْلَمُ فِي عُلَمَاءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ الْمَعْرُوفِينَ مَنْ أَنْكَرَ ذَلِكَ ; إلا فِرْقَةٌ يَسِيرَةٌ مَنْ أَهْلِ الْجَدَلِ لَمَّا نَاظَرُوا الْمُنَجِّمِينَ فَأَفْسَدُوا عَلَيْهِمْ فَاسِدَ مَذْهَبِهِمْ فِي الأَحْوَالِ وَالتَّأْثِيرِ خَلَطُوا الْكَلامَ مَعَهُمْ بِالْمُنَاظَرَةِ فِي الْحِسَابِ وَقَالُوا عَلَى سَبِيلِ التَّجْوِيزِ يَجُوزُ أَنْ تَكُونَ مُرَبَّعَةً أَوْ مُسَدَّسَةً أَوْ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ ; وَلَمْ يَنْفُوا أَنْ تَكُونَ مُسْتَدِيرَةً لَكِنْ جَوَّزُوا ضِدَّ ذَلِكَ .
وَمَا عَلِمْت مَنْ قَالَ إنَّهَا غَيْرُ مُسْتَدِيرَةٍ - وَجَزَمَ بِذَلِكَ - إلا مَنْ لا يُؤْبَهُ لَهُ مِنْ الْجُهَّالِ .
وَمِنْ الأَدِلَّةِ عَلَى ذَلِكَ قوله تعالى : (( وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ )) .
وَقَالَ تَعَالَى : (( لا الشَّمْسُ يَنْبَغِي لَهَا أَنْ تُدْرِكَ الْقَمَرَ وَ لا اللَّيْلُ سَابِقُ النَّهَارِ وَ كُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ )) .
قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَغَيْرُهُ مِنْ السَّلَفِ : فِي فَلْكَةٍ مِثْلِ فَلْكَةِ الْمِغْزَلِ ، وَهَذَا صَرِيحٌ بِالاسْتِدَارَةِ وَالدَّوَرَانِ وَأَصْلُ ذَلِكَ : أَنَّ " الْفَلَكَ فِي اللُّغَةِ " هُوَ الشَّيْءُ الْمُسْتَدِيرُ يُقَالُ تَفَلَّكَ ثَدْيُ الْجَارِيَةِ إذَا اسْتَدَارَ وَيُقَالُ لِفَلْكَةِ الْمِغْزَلِ الْمُسْتَدِيرَةِ فَلْكَةٌ ; لاسْتِدَارَتِهَا .
فَقَدْ اتَّفَقَ أَهْلُ التَّفْسِيرِ وَاللُّغَةِ عَلَى أَنَّ " الْفَلَكَ " هُوَ الْمُسْتَدِيرُ وَالْمَعْرِفَةُ لِمَعَانِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ إنَّمَا تُؤْخَذُ مِنْ هَذَيْنِ الطَّرِيقَيْنِ : مِنْ أَهْلِ التَّفْسِيرِ الْمَوْثُوقِ بِهِمْ مِنْ السَّلَفِ وَمِنْ اللُّغَةِ : الَّتِي نَزَلَ الْقُرْآنُ بِهَا وَهِيَ لُغَةُ الْعَرَبِ .
وَقَالَ تَعَالَى : (( يُكَوِّرُ اللَّيْلَ عَلَى النَّهَارِ وَيُكَوِّرُ النَّهَارَ عَلَى اللَّيْلِ )) .
قَالُوا : وَ " التَّكْوِيرُ " التَّدْوِيرُ يُقَالُ : كَوَّرْت الْعِمَامَةَ وَكَوَّرْتهَا : إذَا دَوَّرْتهَا وَيُقَالُ : لِلْمُسْتَدِيرِ كَارَةٌ وَأَصْلُهُ " كورة " تَحَرَّكَتْ الْوَاوُ وَانْفَتَحَ مَا قَبْلَهَا فَقُلِبَتْ أَلِفًا .
وَيُقَالُ أَيْضًا : " كُرَةٌ " وَأَصْلُهُ كُورَةٌ وَإِنَّمَا حُذِفَتْ عَيْنُ الْكَلِمَةِ كَمَا قِيلَ فِي ثُبَةٍ وَقُلَةٍ .
وَاللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ ، وَسَائِرُ أَحْوَالِ الزَّمَانِ تَابِعَةٌ لِلْحَرَكَةِ ; فَإِنَّ الزَّمَانَ مِقْدَارُ الْحَرَكَةِ ; وَالْحَرَكَةُ قَائِمَةٌ بِالْجِسْمِ الْمُتَحَرِّكِ فَإِذَا كَانَ الزَّمَانُ التَّابِعُ لِلْحَرَكَةِ التَّابِعَةِ لِلْجِسْمِ مَوْصُوفًا بِالاسْتِدَارَةِ كَانَ الْجِسْمُ أَوْلَى بِالِاسْتِدَارَةِ .
وَقَالَ تَعَالَى : (( مَا تَرَى فِي خَلْقِ الرَّحْمَنِ مِنْ تَفَاوُتٍ )) .
وَلَيْسَ فِي السَّمَاءِ إلا أَجْسَامُ مَا هُوَ مُتَشَابِهٌ .
َأَمَّا التَّثْلِيثُ وَالتَّرْبِيعُ وَالتَّخْمِيسُ وَ التَّسْدِيسُ وَغَيْرُ ذَلِكَ : فَفِيهَا تَفَاوُتٌ وَاخْتِلافٌ بِالزَّوَايَا وَالأَضْلاعِ لا خِلافَ فِيهِ وَ لا تَفَاوُتَ ; إذْ الاسْتِدَارَةُ الَّتِي هِيَ الْجَوَانِبُ .
وَفِي الْحَدِيثِ الْمَشْهُورِ فِي سُنَنِ أَبِي داود وَغَيْرِهِ عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا جَاءَ إلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ جهدت الأَنْفُسُ وَهَلَكَ الْمَالُ ; وَجَاعَ الْعِيَالُ فَاسْتَسْقِ لَنَا ; فَإِنَّا نَسْتَشْفِعُ بِاَللَّهِ عَلَيْك وَنَسْتَشْفِعُ بِك عَلَى اللَّهِ : فَسَبَّحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَتَّى عُرِفَ ذَلِكَ فِي وُجُوهِ أَصْحَابِهِ وَقَالَ : (( وَيْحَك إنَّ اللَّهَ لا يُسْتَشْفَعُ بِهِ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ شَأْنُ اللَّهِ أَعْظَمُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ إنَّ عَرْشَهُ عَلَى سَمَوَاتِهِ هَكَذَا وَ قَالَ بِيَدِهِ مِثْلُ الْقُبَّةِ وَ أَنَّهُ يَئِطُّ بِهِ أَطِيطَ الرَّحْلِ الْجَدِيدِ بِرَاكِبِهِ )) .
فَأَخْبَرَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّ الْعَرْشَ عَلَى السَّمَوَاتِ مِثْلُ الْقُبَّةِ وَهَذَا إشَارَةٌ إلَى الْعُلُوِّ وَالإِدَارَةِ .
وَفِي الصَّحِيحَيْنِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ : (( إذَا سَأَلْتُمْ اللَّهَ الْجَنَّةَ فَاسْأَلُوهُ الْفِرْدَوْسَ فَإِنَّهُ أَعْلَى الْجَنَّةِ وَأَوْسَطُ الْجَنَّةِ وَسَقْفُهُ عَرْشُ الرَّحْمَنِ )) .
وَ الأَوْسَطُ لا يَكُونُ أَوْسَطَ إلا فِي الْمُسْتَدِيرِ .
وَ قَدْ قَالَ إيَاسُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ : السَّمَاءُ عَلَى الأَرْضِ مِثْلُ الْقُبَّةِ .
وَ الآثَارِ فِي ذَلِكَ لا تَحْتَمِلُهَا الْفَتْوَى ; وَإِنَّمَا كَتَبْت هَذَا عَلَى عَجَلٍ .
وَالْحِسُّ مَعَ الْعَقْلِ يَدُلُّ عَلَى ذَلِكَ فَإِنَّهُ مَعَ تَأَمُّلِ دَوَرَانِ الْكَوَاكِبِ الْقَرِيبَةِ مِنْ الْقُطْبِ فِي مَدَارٍ ضَيِّقٍ حَوْلَ الْقُطْبِ الشَّمَالِيِّ ثُمَّ دَوَرَانِ الْكَوَاكِبِ الْمُتَوَسِّطَةِ فِي السَّمَاءِ فِي مَدَارٍ وَاسِعٍ وَكَيْفَ يَكُونُ فِي أَوَّلِ اللَّيْلِ وَفِي آخِرِهِ ؟ يُعْلَمُ ذَلِكَ .
وَكَذَلِكَ مَنْ رَأَى حَالَ الشَّمْسِ وَقْتَ طُلُوعِهَا وَاسْتِوَائِهَا وَغُرُوبِهَا فِي الأَوْقَاتِ الثَّلاثَةِ عَلَى بُعْدٍ وَاحِدٍ وَشَكْلٍ وَاحِدٍ مِمَّنْ يَكُونُ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الأَرْضِ عَلِمَ أَنَّهَا تَجْرِي فِي فَلَكٍ مُسْتَدِيرٍ وَأَنَّهُ لَوْ كَانَ مُرَبَّعًا لَكَانَتْ وَقْتَ الاسْتِوَاءِ أَقْرَبَ إلَى مَنْ تُحَاذِيهِ مِنْهَا وَقْتَ الطُّلُوعِ وَالْغُرُوبِ وَدَلائِلُ هَذَا مُتَعَدِّدَةٌ .
وَأَمَّا مَنْ ادَّعَى مَا يُخَالِفُ الْكِتَابَ وَالسُّنَّةَ فَهُوَ مُبْطِلٌ فِي ذَلِكَ وَإِنْ زَعَمَ أَنَّ مَعَهُ دَلِيلا حِسَابِيًّا .
