أذكر صديقا لي كان يرى أنه إذا اختلف مع امرأة فهو يرى بأنه هو من يجب أن يذهب لمصالحتها ويكلمها أولا، حتى لو كانت هي البادئة أو هي المخطئة، ما كان يحملني على احترامه، ليس مثلما نرى في المسلسلات التعبانة إياها، حين يرفض الزوج أن يذهب ليحضر امرأته من بيت أهلها"مثلما خرجت من البيت بنفسها يجب أن تعود بنفسها" أنا أحتقر هذه النوعية من الرجال، تعامل الرجل مع المرأة كتعامله مع رجل آخر لا يدل إلا على جلافة الطبع ونقص الثقة في النفس أو على الشذوذ الجنسي، ولكن هذه النوعية لا تضرنا.. فهي مسألة ذوق واتكيت وليست مسألة قيم ومساواة.. والسبيل الأمثل للتعامل معهم هو عدم التعامل معهم.
