بعد ذلك قضيت أسبوعين في تقليب الموضوع في رأسي، وقررت أن أفضل طريقة هي أن أتقدم لخطبة الفتاة، وممكن أن نخطب ل6 شهور مثلا ونتعرف على بعضنا خلالها بشكل مشروع وبلا خوف، وإن لم يحصل تفاهم سنفسخ الخطبة و"لا من شاف ولا من دري" ... قررت أن أتقدم لها ووكلت ابن عمي ليتصل بها ويستفسر منها عن رأيها مبدئيا، كان الرد بموافقتها وطلبنا منها أن تستشير أهلها ...

مضى يومان بدون حس ولا خبر ... ثم جاء الإتصال ب"ما في نصيب":25:
