مع أن المؤلف لا يقيم اعتبارًا لأغلب الروايات إلا أنه يأخذ منها الضعيف والباهت ما دام يطعن ذلك في صحابة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم. والعجيب على من لم يجرب طرق الاستشراق أن مراجعه هي المستشرقين وسمومهم ضد الإسلام. يقول الكاتب:

يرى المؤلف أن إثبات نزول غالبية آيات القرآن الكريم دون سبب تاريخي (أسباب النزول) يعمل على تقوية الدعوى القائلة بأن القرآن ما هو إلا أساطير الأولين. فيقول في ص25:

"ولعل من أهم فوائد أسباب النزول عند المفسر تأكيد إعجاز القرآن. فنزول الوحي إثر أسباب تاريخية يطعن في دعوى اعتبار النص من "أساطير الأولين".

ربما تقول ان هذا غير مدون بالنص الصريح المباشر. لك الحق في ذلك. فالآن استعد لهذه المفاجاة وأرجو أن تتمالك أعصابك. تعال نقرأ في كتابه بالنص لنرى أنه يصف الملائكة وسيدنا جبريل (وكذلك الشيطان) والمعجزات مثل نزول المطر بأنها أساطير الأولين. ويعد وجود أجنحة للملائكة أسطورة. ويقول بان الإسلام سرق معجزة نزول المطر من العهد القديم. وبالطبع قد نص القرآن الكريم على كل هذا في آياته:
