Concerning Rilke,I like his emotional and musical stage rather than his descriptive ones.I always read his poems about the biblical themes and consider them a beautiful kind of Midrash
What I adore in Rilke is his vast poetic imagination and sensibility,his earth-bound mysticism, his consciousness of the emptiness of the modern life if lived without phantasy and his knowledge of this world's need for remythoogization.I think he was searching a spirituality for the modern man and he reached very high summits in some of his poems.I haven't read his letters yet but his prose is so beautiful that you don't want to stop reading it.I read it usually loud to myself to enjoy his rhythms and beautiful music.These days I am reading his Marien series since nothing is left for Christmas.I also listened to Haendel's wonderful piece about the revolution of the maccabees to celebrate that with my jewish friends and I also read some beautiful sufi poetry during 3eed aladha.I also bought an anthology of german poems on biblical themes and it seems very promising.So you see I've been really busy showing my solidarity with the prophetic faiths.Although I'm not a believer in any of them but I just enjoy my religious sensibility and I love the sublime art and literature linked with those occasions
Have you read anything for Hoelderlin,Novalis or Eichendorff?They created a special language for the heart within the german language
I have the complete german poems of Rilke and I would like to have anything of his prose or drama if you have them.That would be very nice and I will be grateful for you
