طالما كانت هذه القصة محيرة بالنسبة لي فهذا رجل يقوم بمحاربة الشرك و الوثنية لصالح التوحيد و الدين الحق و هو المسيحية في ذلك الزمان بحسب النظرية الدينية .فلماذا تتم معاقبته هو و بهذه الصورة نصرة لقوم مشركين و وثنيين ؟؟؟
و اذا نظرت في تفسير هذه الصورة كما عند ابن كثير مثلا تجد العنصرية المقيتة في اشد صورها فهو يصور رب العالمين نصيرا للعرب و لبيتهم العتيق و لمدينتهم المقدسة no matter what و بحسب ابن كثير فقد كان من المستبعد أن ينصر الله احباشا على العرب و على قريش تحديدا إذ انها القبيلة التي كان يجري تجهيزها لقيادة البشرية جمعاء بعد ظهور نبي آخر الزمان فيها . قد يكون الأمر مرتبطا بصراع طائفي مسيحي بين طائفتين من المسيحيين كانو يقطنون الجزيرة العربية آنذاك هذا إن صحت الروايات عن أن اهل مكة كانوا يمثلون طائفة من المسيحيين كانت لا تعترف بفكرة موت المسيح على الصليب و فداء البشر كما كانت لا تعترف بوجود لاهوت في المسيح و ترى أنه كان بشرا عاديا ارسله الله كسائر الرسل.
