قالت لجنة حماية الصحفيين الدولية في جنيف قبل أمس ان أكثر من 1146 من العاملين في مجال الاعلام تعرضوا لاعتداءات أثناء أداء عملهم العام الماضي في مختلف أنحاء العالم.


وأشارت اللجنة الدولية في تقريرها الصادر يوم أمس بمناسبة اليوم العالمي لحرية الصحافة الثالث من مايو الحالي إلى أن عشرات المراسلين الصحفيين والمصورين قتلوا في مختلف أنحاء العالم العام الماضي.وأوضح التقرير الذى اذاعته وكالة الانباء الالمانية أن 56 صحفيا قتلوا العام الماضي في حين تعرض نحو 124 صحفيا للحبس ومازال 19 منهم في عداد المفقودين.وكان المعهد الدولي للصحافة قد ذكر أن 78 صحفيا لاقوا حتفهم العام الماضي.
ووصفت /منظمة مراسلون بلا حدود/ عام 2004 بأنه عام مأساوي. وذكرت أن الصحفيين في عديد من دول العالم يواجهون قيودا على حريتهم كما هو الحال في الولايات المتحدة التي حوكم عدد من الصحفيين فيها لرفضهم الكشف عن مصادر معلوماتهم.
ومازال العراق أكثر مناطق العالم خطرا على العاملين في الاعلام حيث قتل فيه 20 من العاملين في هذا الحقل العام الماضي.
