After the first part of The Ring attracted thousands of viewers, the second part is now out.. Samara is back...
The movie picks up after Rachel and her son Aidan move to another city to overcome their horrifyng experience with Samara and her persistence to kill. Yet as Aidan had pereviously warned Rachel, "it will never stop"...
This time Samara, compelled by her innocent need to have a loving mother, wants to become Aidan, possessing his body, she follows them, and haunts their dreams...
Rachel continues her investigation about the history of Samara and undigs her biological mother, Evelyn, who has been submitted to a mental institution after attempting drown her baby, who was a very placid little girl that never cried unless surrounded by water. When asked why she tried to kill her daughter, Evelyn says she wanted to save her and claims that the baby had asked her to, and avdvises Rachel to listen to her own baby, and kill him if necessary...
In her sleep, because only in their sleep Samara can't hear them, Aidan ask his mother to take him to where Samara fears the most and kill him, because only then would Samara leave his body. And so, Rachel tries to drown Aidan in the bathtub and Samara leaves his body, and he lives...
Yet it's not over yet, the TV switches on and Samara is coming out of the well, she won't stop until she gets a loving mother, so she pulls Rachel in with her. Then Rachel realizes that the only way to stop Samara is to close the well which is her only way out, she climbs up and does it, then guided by her son's voice calling out to her, she jumps off the cliff and wakes up beside him.. "it's over" she tells him...
A happy ending for everyone except Samara who stays trapped in the well, and she never sleeps, coz the dead never sleep...
In both parts, i couldn't help but feel sorry for Samara, despite her horrifying appearance and her desire to kill. Yet she's the soul of a helpless child who had never felt the love of a mother...
Love your children, or they will come back for you and for everyone else...
