إن واحدة من أهم الثغرات التي سمحت بتحول واقعنا إلى حالة من التوتر الطائفي هي عملية التمثيل الطائفي عبر أكثر القوى الطائفية تطرفا
ففي واقع تكون حرية التعبير فيه ممنوعة والتعبير يكون جولة محفوفة بالمخاطر فإن الخاصة الأكثر تنظيما واستعدادا تصبح الناطق الرسمي باسم الطائفة
على حين يختفي صوت الأغلبية الصامتة لتَشتُتْ قواها وفقدانها للهيئات المدنية التي تعلي صوتها فيكون الصوت المتطرف المغامر أكثر الأصوات بروزا وتعبيرا عن صوت الطائفة
إن هذه الحالة تجعل من الطائفة أسيرة للسان حال المتطرفين من أبناءها
فتتحول الطائفة من كيان اجتماعي يتشكل من عموم أبنائها وتمتلك حقوقا معلومة ويترتب عليها واجب معلوم في الإطار القومي أو الإقليمي إلى ولاية يحتلها المتطرفون الذين يستأثرون بتمثيلهم للطائفة من جهة ويمنعون العامة المسالمة من التعبير عن وجهة نظرها أو متابعة مصالحها في الإطار القومي
