.. قديما قيل إذا جبن الحكماء و شجع الحمقى فمتى يعرف الحق . و اليوم أصبح كثير من الحكماء جبناء و هذه مصيبة ،و لكن المصيبة الأكبر هي أن الحمقى شجعوا و سجعوا ، الحمقى في كل مكان يتحدثون بين الأنقاض و ضحايا الموت المجاني عن انتصارات وهمية و يبشروننا بمثيليها ، ذلك كله لأن العقلانيين يصمتون حين يجب الكلام ، هل يمكننا أن ننكر أن عملية السلام وحدها هي التي حققت للعرب شيئا يعتد به منذ 50 عام ، أليست هي التي حررت سيناء وبعضا من الجولان وأراضي أردنية ومدنا فلسطينية؛ هل يمكننا أن ننكر أن الراديكاليين الفلسطينيين يتحملون بعضا من المسؤولية في الأقل عن فشل عملية السلام هذه عندما قاموا بعملياتهم العسكرية بينما تجري عملية تسليم المدن الفلسطينية المحررة للسلطة الوطنية الفلسطينية- وهي المدن التي لم تلبث أن أعيد احتلالها مرة أخرى - لأن هذه الجماعات كانت تريد بكل الطرق إثبات فشل عملية السلام؟ ، و هكذا أصبح الشعب الفلسطيني وحده من بين كل شعوب العالم الثالث الذي فشل في تحقيق أهدافه القومية ليس فقط بسبب الطبيعة الخاصة لإسرائيل التي هي استعمارية واستيطانية فكثر من المستعمرين كانوا كذلك ، وإنما أساسا نتيجة فشل النخبة السياسية الفلسطينية في إدارة الصراع غير المتكافئ بالضرورة مثل أي صراع آخر بين الشعوب و محتليها . مشكلة تلك النخب كانت دائما أنها تصر أن تحيل معركتها الوطنية إلى صراع قومي ثم إسلامي و النتيجة ضياع الهدف الوطني البسيط و الممكن ، و هي عند العمل تصر أن تركب جوادين معا ، التفاوض العشوائي و التقاتل العبثي ، هذه القوى كانت استثناء بين قوى التحرر الوطني فهي تتجاهل كل شيء عن توازن القوى و تستعيض عن الحسابات بالشعارات ، هي تصر أن تعرف العالم كما تتمناه لا كما هو في الواقع ، هذه النخب كما رأينا في حالة حماس ( لا تعرف شيئا على الإطلاق في استخدام القوة العسكرية إلا بالطريقة المعبرة عن الفوضى والانفصام عن الأهداف التكتيكية والاستراتيجية) فلديهم العمل العسكري يكتسب في حد ذاته قدسية، وطالما وصل إلى مرتبة الاستشهاد فلم يعد مهما كل ما يأتي بعد ذلك . حمى الله الشعبين الفلسطيني و اللبناني ليس فقط من أعدائهما، وإنما من أصدقائهما و أقول بعض أبنائهما أيضا!.
