قالت الشرطة في باكستان إن مالا يقل عن 18 شخصا قتلوا وأصيب العشرات في انفجار وقع في ضريح للمسلمين الشيعة، بالقرب من العاصمة الباكستانية إسلام آباد اليوم الجمعة.

وقال رئيس شرطة العاصمة الباكستانية طلعت محمود إن "المعلومات الأولية تشير إلى أن الانفجار نجم عن تفجير انتحاري".

وأضاف أن 18 شخصا على الأقل قتلوا في الانفجار.

وقالت محطة تلفزيونية باكستانية إن الانفجار وقع أثناء ازدحام المنطقة بالالاف من الشيعة والسنة، في احتفال عند الضريح.

ورجح وزير الاعلام الباكستاني شيخ أحمد رشيد أن الانفجار ناجم عن عملية انتحارية، وأكد احتمال ارتفاع عدد القتلى.

وكان المئات من الشيعة يجتمعون في ضريح الامام باري الواقع بالقرب من الحي الدبلوماسي وعدد من مباني الحكومة، بضواحي إسلام آباد عندما وقع الانفجار.

ولم تعرف بعد الجهة المدبرة للتفجير.
