أعرف عدد كثيرا جداً من السيدات القبطيات واللواتي يشعرن أنهن "متدبسة" في الزواج ولا مخرج ولا يمكن الخروج إلا بالزنا فتلجأن لذلك لممارسة الزنا وبهذا تبيح لأنفسهن أحقية الخروج بكل الطرق الممكنة ومن أوسع الأبواب.

كثير من السيدات لذلك يلجأن لممارسة الحب وداخل إطار الزواج وخاصة لو أن الرجل مصاب بالعنة أو فقد كل اهتمامه بالجنس وعندئذ تحافظ هي على الزواج كـ "مؤسسة" ولكن تسعى بطريقتها في البحث عن بدائل للإشباع وممارسة الحب كما يمليه عليها احتياجها الأنثوي الطبيعي.

قانون الطلاق في الكنيسة القبطية هو أكبر ممارسة تعسفية في تاريخ الكون بأسره ضد المرأة.
