لا يوجد هناك ما ينفي أن المسيح قال عن نفسه أنه هو الأول والآخر ، فلو أفترضنا أن الآية المذكورة غير موجودة في بعض المخطوطات ، فهناك ثلاثة آيات أخرى تؤكد هذه العقيدة ومذكورة في جميع المخطوطات :
1 – " فلما رأيته سقطت عند رجليه كميت فوضع يده اليمنى عليّ قائلا لي لا تخف انا هو الاول والآخر " (رؤ1 ك17) .
وقد جائت في النص اليوناني هكذا :

(GNT-TR) και οτε ειδον αυτον επεσα προς τους ποδας αυτου ως νεκρος και επεθηκεν την δεξιαν αυτου χειρα επ εμε λεγων μοι μη φοβου εγω ειμι ο πρωτος και ο εσχατος
(GNT-V) και οτε ειδον αυτον επεσα προς τους ποδας αυτου ως νεκρος και Aεθηκεν Bεθηκε TSεπεθηκεν την δεξιαν αυτου TSχειρα επ εμε λεγων TSμοι μη φοβου εγω ειμι ο πρωτος και ο εσχατος
(Vamvas) Και ότε είδον αυτόν, έπεσα προς τους πόδας αυτού ως νεκρός, και επέθηκε την δεξιάν αυτού χείρα επ' εμέ; λέγων μοι• Μη φοβού• εγώ είμαι ο πρώτος και ο έσχατος

وهذا يعني ويؤكد أنها موجودة في جميع المخطوطات وحتى أوفر عليك البحث في الترجمات أقدم لك كل الترجمات الإنجليزية والألمانية والفرنسية :

على نفس النمط :
فليس هو الذي خدعه أحد ولكن يوجد من قد يخدع نفسه .

كما أن سفر الرؤيا مثله مثل بقية أسفار العهد الجديد ، فقد كتب بالروح القدس ، ومن الطبيعي أن يتكلم المسيح فيه عن لاهوته بصراحه لأنه تكلم من موقعه كالجالس عين يمين عرش الله .
