( حدثنا ) أبو سعيد احمد بن يعقوب الثقفى وابو بكر محمد بن احمد بن بالويه ( قالا ) ثنا الحسن بن على بن شبيب المعمري ثنا محمد بن عبيد بن حساب ثنا جعفر بن سليمان عن ثابت عن أبي رافع قال كان أبو لؤلؤة للمغيرة بن شعبة وكان يصنع الرحاء وكان المغيرة يستعمله كل يوم بأربعة دراهم فلقي أبو لؤلؤة عمر فقال يا أمير المؤمنين إن المغيرة قد أكثر علي فكلمه أن يخفف عنى فقال له عمر اتق الله و أحسن إلى مولاك قال ومن نية عمر أن يلقى المغيرة فيكلمه في التخفيف عنه قال فغضب أبو لؤلؤة وكان اسمه فيروز وكان نصرانيا

( 1766 ) حطان التميمي اليربوعي ذكره بن فتحون في الذيل قال سعيد بن يحيى الاموي حدثنا أبي حدثني من سمع حصين بن عبد الرحمن حدثنا عمرو بن ميمون الاودي قال إني لقائم خلف عمر ما بيني وبينه إلا بن عباس فوصف قصة قتله فلما رأى ذلك رجل من المهاجرين يقال له حطان التميمي اليربوعي طرح عليه برنسا فلما ظن أبو لؤلؤة أنه مقتول أمر الخنجر على أوداجه فذبح نفسه .

اخبار أهل السنة يا معري اختلفت في مصير أبي لؤلؤة لكن احد منهم لم يذكر بابا شجاع الدين ولا علاء الدين

الطائفة الأولى من الاخبار : تقول أن فيروز انتحر بعد أن تأكده من مقتل عمر .

الطائفة الثانية من الاخبار : تقول أنه عبيد الله بن عمر قتله . و كيفما كان , فلا يصح على ذلك أن يكون قبر أبو لؤلؤة في كاشان و هي مدينة في بلاد فارس تبعد عن المدينة الاف الاميال .
