Regarding Bacteriophages..
BACTERIOPHAGES are REALLY viruses that literally infect bacteria .. and literally make them `ill`.. eventually leading to their destruction.. they can also infect malignant `cancerous` cells and destroy them.. there are even some researches and experiments in which oncologists are trying to take advantage of this property of BACTERIOPHAGES to fight some types of cancers

Dr. Najjar used the term `swallow` - if he really did use it- as a metaphor to describe the cell destruction caused by Bacteriophages and also the Latin suffix `phage` means literally `swallowing` .. so the word BACTERIOPHAGES literally means ; swallowers of bacteria ..and after all Dr.Najjar is neither a doctor nor a microbiologist.. yet I have absolutely no problem as a doctor with the expression he used especially since he is not a microbiologist..
