فى مقاله الأسبوعى بجريدة الأهرام بتاريخ 31/2/2006, كتب البروفيسور زغلول النجار:
فى خريف العام الماضى, كنت أحضر مؤتمرا فى كاليفورنيا عن المشكلات التى تواجه علماء الفضاء.. وكان من بينها استحالة إرسال سفينة فضاء إلى الشمس بحجة أنها ستحترق.. وعدت إلى منزلى بالقاهرة وقلت لنفسى لابد أن أجد الحل فى كتاب رب العالمين, وبينما أخلع ملابسى لأخذ شاور, حتى سمعت حفيدى يرتل سورة الشمس.. فركضت عريانا مثل أرشميدس إلى مكتبى صارخا: وجدتها.. وجدتها..
يقول الله تعالى: "والشمس وضحاها والقمر إذا تلاها والنهار إذا جلاها والليل إذا يغشاها".. تأتي هذه الآيات الكريمة في صيغة قسم، وتعالى الله عن حاجته لأن يقسم، وبالتالي نفهم أن هذا القسم إشارة إلى أهمية ما يُقسم الله تعالى به.. قوله تعالى: "والنهار إذا جلاها" هنا يقسم ربنا جل وعلا بالنهار عندما يجلِّى ويبيِّن ويكشف الشمس بضوئه, وقوله: "والليل إذا يغشاها" هنا يقسم الحق تبارك وتعالى بالليل عندما يغطى الشمس بظلمته (انظر تفسيرى القرطبى والبيضاوى).
إن علماء الكون حتى وقتنا الحالى يعتقدون (خطأً) أن طلوع الشمس هو الذى يسبب حدوث النهار, وأن غروب الشمس هو الذى يسبب حدوث الليل..
لكن هاتين الآيتين هما "فتح" علمى جديد ينسف "بحماس" هذه المعلومة الشائعة الخاطئة وتصحح لنا معلوماتنا وتقرر أن طلوع النهار هو الذى يسبب ظهور الشمس, وأن مجئ الليل هو الذى يسبب اختفاء الشمس, وليس العكس..
وبهذا السبق العلمى للقرآن الكريم, نستطيع حل واحدة من أعقد مشاكل علم الفضاء, بأن نرسل سفينة الفضاء إلى الشمس بالليل، حيث يغطيها الليل بظلمته.
وقد تبنّت الفكرة هيئة الإعجاز العلمى السعودية وقررت تمويل هذا المشروع.. ورغم رفض العلماء الأمريكان الكفرة فى وكالة ناسا للحل القرآنى, إلا أنهم راجعوا أنفسهم وقرروا قبول تمويل الهيئة السعودية لأبحاث إرسال سفينة فضاء إلى الشمس ليلا..
ويفرض نفسه هذا التساؤل: كيف يمكن لشخص أمّى عاش منذ أربعة عشر قرنا أن يصل إلى حل هذه المشكلة العويصة والتى وقف المتخصصون عاجزين أمامها؟!.. إن هذه شهادة صدق بأن القرآن الكريم كلام الله‏,‏ وأن سيدنا ونبينا محمدا‏ (‏صلي الله عليه وسلم‏)‏ كان موصولا بالوحي‏,‏ معلَّما من قبل خالق السموات والأرض‏,‏ وأن القرآن الكريم هو معجزته الخالدة إلى قيام الساعة.‏
