Well, to me really he is just siding against whatever America would say. It is the Contra Mundum attitude. He is painting a rosy image of the dictatorship of Sadam. It doesn't take a genius to see what evil Sadam has incurred all along. Yet Mr Chomsy is intent on telling us how Sadam was seeking the best of the average citizen, which is rubbish. This is plain garbage. I don't care about US interests or US agenda. But to advocate Sadam is dead wrong. He knows as well as anybody that Sadam was a man of horror and he, like many Arab leaders, robbed the country of its wealth. It was a royalty basking in wealth that originally belong to the average Iraqi. He is welcome to criticize America as much as he likes, but the minutes he advocates the tyranny of Saddam, I am then inclined to think poorly of him.
