LaRouche: Pull U.S. Ambassador Out of Iraq!
March 1, 2006—Citing the record of outrageous behavior by the U.S. Ambassador to Iraq, Zalmay Khalilzad, over the last 10 days, Democratic leader Lyndon LaRouche has called for him to be immediately pulled out of his position in that nation.

Khalilzad was actually the figure who triggered the recent descent toward civil war in Iraq, when on Feb. 21, he held a blustering press conference in Baghdad, announcing that the U.S. would not tolerate formation of a "sectarian" government, a statement that was widely interpreted as opposition to the dominance of the Shi'ites, including radical cleric Moqtadar al-Sadar, in the government under formation.

It was the very next day, Feb. 22, that the holy Islamic Shi'ite shrine in Samarra was dynamited, in a coordinated military operation whose specific authorship is not yet known. The result was intense and bloody civil strife which has led to the deaths of over 1300 Iraqis, according to reports from morgues in the central part of the country.

Then, on the same day this huge death toll was announced, and at least 53 civilians, two British, and two U.S. troops were killed, Ambassador Khalilzad outrageously minimized the crisis. "The crisis is over," he said, allegedly due to his own diplomatic skill, and the work of Iraqi President Talibani. He also claimed that the Iraqi and other press reports of the casualties, were "overstated."

"Khalilzad is an embarrassment to the United States, and a strategic threat to the whole region," LaRouche declared. Therefore, he must be removed from his Ambassadorship now. "Let him leave by plane, or leave by shredder. Just get him out of there," LaRouche said. "Then, get the U.S. forces out as well."

اسحبوا السفير الأمريكي من العراق


أصدرت لجنة ليندون لاروش للعمل السياسي التصريح التالي بعد مناقشات مع السياسي الأمريكي ليندون لاروش، حول الوضع المتأزم في العراق نتيجة للعمل الإجرامي المتمثل بتفجير قبة مرقد الإمامين علي الهادي والحسن العسكري في مدينة سامراء. هذا الفعل كان يراد له أن يطلق شرارة حرب دينية طائفية لتمزيق العراق والمنطقة. وبالرغم من أن الفاعل لم تحدد هويته، إلا أن لاروش يعتقد أن تصريحات السفير الأمريكي زلماي خليلزاد قبل التفجير كان لها دورا في إشعال نار هذه الفتنة.


السفير الأمريكي زالماي خليلزاد كان في الواقع هو الشخص الذي أشعل شرارة الأزمة العراقية الأخيرة التي تهدد بجر العراق إلى أتون الحرب الأهلية، حيث عقد خليلزاد في 21 فبراير مؤتمرا صحفيا هائجا معلنا فيه أن الولايات المتحدة لن تسمح بتشكيل حكومة "طائفية"، وهذه الإشارة تم تفسيرها في كل مكان باعتبارها معارضة أمريكية لهيمنة الشيعة وبضمنهم القائد الراديكالي مقتدى الصدر في مناقشات تشكيل الحكومة المقبلة.


مباشرة في اليوم التالي ( 22 فيراير) لتصريح خليلزاد تم تفجير المرقد الشيعي في سامراء، في عملية عسكرية منسقة لا يعرف لحد الآن من المخطط والمنفذ لها. وقد أدى التفجير إلى وقوع مواجهات دموية في مناطق مختلفة من العراق مؤدية إلى وقوع أكثر من 1300 قتيل عراقي وفقا لتقارير طبية من داخل العراق.


بعد ذلك، وفي نفس اليوم الذي أذيعت فيه نسبة الخسائر هذه، قتل ما لا يقل عن 53 مدنيا عراقيا وجنديين بريطانيين وجنديين أمريكيين، خرج خليلزاد مجددا ليقلل من شأن الأزمة بشكل استفزازاي، حيث صرح: "إن الأزمة قد انتهت"، معزيا ذلك ربما لشطارته الدبلوماسية وجهود الرئيس العراقي جلال طالباني. علاوة على ذلك ادعى خليلزاد أن تقارير وسائل الإعلام العراقية وغيرها حول الخسائر كانت "مبالغ فيها".


في رد فعله على هذا الأمر صرح لاروش: "خليلزاد مصدر إحراج للولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، وخطر استراتيجي على كل المنطقة"، وعلى ذلك يجب أن يزال من موقعه كسفير حالا. وأضاف لاروش: دعوه يغادر بالطائرة أو أية وسيلة أخرى، المهم أن يتم إخراجه من هناك. بعد ذلك علينا أن نسحب القوات الأمريكية أيضا من العراق".
