معظم ما أقوله هنا عن القرآن ناتج عن محادثات ودردشة بيني وبين كريستوف لوكسنبرغ. بسببه تحمست أكثر لدراسة الآرامية ومحاولة إتقانها؛ وعلى الدرب نسير.

أما كرم أنطاكي وديميتري أفيرنوس فلم أسمع بهما. ليتك تنير بصيرتي هنا.

كثيرون منا يميلون للاعتقاد بأن القرآن في عهده المكي يحمل في دفاته النصوص الآرامية والتي لها صلة بالبيئة المسيحية في جزيرة العرب. قارن مثلا بين "إقرأ باسم ربك" و"قريه بـ شيم ماريا" وובשם יהוה אקרא أي باسم الرب أدعو و I will call upon the name of the Lord.

لوكسنبرج هو أول من لفت نظري لهذه العبارة. هرولت لقاموس أوجين يعقوب منا ووجدت العبارة مكتوبة بالآرامية الكلدانية بخط شرقي وكأني أقرأ القرآن بنص آرامي في خصوص هذه العبارة بالذات. لا أدري إن كان منّا يدري بذلك عن قصد وهو يعمل قاموسه ولكن قاموسه أقرب كثيراً لما نعرفه من العربية القرآنية بلغتها الممتعة العذبة.
